CAHNRS Office of the Dean

Happy Thanksgiving

Dear faculty, staff, students, alumni, and friends of the College of Agricultural, Human, and Natural Resource Sciences,

This is a season of gratitude, and I want to take a moment to pause, reflect, and express my heartfelt thanks to the entire CAHNRS community for extending to me the privilege of serving as your dean. As we move forward together into a new chapter for CAHNRS, I want to express my deep appreciation for all that you do to make our college a shining example of the land-grant mission. At this joyous moment, I share my best wishes to you and yours on this Thanksgiving holiday.

In the few months that I have been here, I’ve witnessed how we work alongside our communities, listen deeply, and co-create solutions that are innovative and transformative. Together, we are turning challenges into opportunities and shaping a future that reflects the strength and resilience of the people we serve.

Thanksgiving centers on coming together with families and friends to share a meal and express thanks for what we have. As my family and I celebrate our first Thanksgiving in Washington, I encourage all of us to thank and remember those who champion the production of food. Food producers are the unsung heroes of that abundance. Farms and farmers are vital to society, not just because of the nourishment they provide, but also for their efforts to sustain our economy, environment, and communities.

I am grateful for the collaborations happening across our college that positively affect our health and well-being throughout Washington and beyond. Thank you to everyone in CAHNRS for your valuable contribution to our mission!

Happy Thanksgiving!
Cashup Davis Family Endowed Dean Raj Khosla
